Lawrence began his career as a graduate trainee with FirstGroup, progressing through a range of increasingly senior operational management roles across Bristol, Glasgow and London.
He then joined National Express as a Regional Manager in the West Midlands. Following this, Lawrence spent eight years in the community transport sector, serving as Regional Director for the London division at HCT Group. During this time, he also served for several years as Vice Chair of the Board of the Community Transport Association.
Lawrence most recently worked at South Yorkshire Combined Authority as Director of Public Transport Operations, where he was responsible for leading the operational delivery of public transport services across the region.
He is currently Co‑Chair of Ealing Community Transport.
