John is an experienced Director of Finance and Chief Executive having held a number of senior roles across local government.
He started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, before moving to Barking and Dagenham Council, becoming Deputy CFO. He was Chief Finance Officer at Barnet Council and then Chief Executive from 2017 to 2024.
More recently, John has been interim Chief Finance Officer at Brighton and Hove City Council before joining Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority as Chief Finance Officer. John was also Chair of Trustees at Live Unlimited, a charity supporting children in care and care leavers between 2018 and 2026.
