Profile

Daniel is a corporate affairs leader with extensive experience in devolution and economic development. He is responsible for Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority’s corporate affairs, including communications and engagement. He has worked across local and national government, with recent roles at the North East Combined Authority and Staffordshire County Council. 

At the North East Combined Authority, he played a leadership role in establishing The Great North – a new pan-northern partnership of mayors, local leaders and industry designed to attract global investment and showcase the North of England’s economic strengths nationally and internationally.

At the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, Daniel led the strategy to promote the region as a place to live, work and invest. Earlier in his career, at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and IPPR North, he advanced the devolution agenda and influenced policy across the North and nationally. He is a member of the Institute of Place Management and began his career in journalism.
