Cath Salt is the Director of Law, Governance and Compliance and the Monitoring Officer for the Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority. As Monitoring Officer, Cath plays a key role in ensuring the Combined Authority operates lawfully, transparently and to the highest standards of governance and ethical conduct.
Cath is a qualified solicitor with over 20 years’ experience, beginning her career in private practice before moving into local government and the wider public sector.
Cath has extensive experience leading legal and governance support across complex public sector services and integrated partnerships including establishing publicly owned entities from the ground up to deliver key services. Her work has focused on enabling services and organisations to innovate and grow while maintaining strong governance, accountability and compliance frameworks.
