The next phase of the Northgate development aims to deliver a new residential community of more than 400 sustainable homes, including affordable housing, to help repopulate the heart of the historic city.
Alongside new homes, the scheme includes public realm and supporting infrastructure, designed to boost economic growth, accessibility and footfall, and to attract further investment into the city. The council appointed ION Developments as its scheme partner. The first public engagement is taking place ahead of UKREiiF.
City Gateway underway
Work is also progressing on the City Gateway scheme, with construction of a new hotel and the new Cheshire Archives Centre underway.
